Volunteer Job Descriptions
- Produce Packer
Assists in the unpacking and repackaging of incoming foods to the warehouse; assists in the organization of goods within the warehouse - Volunteer Receptionist
Answers telephone and walk-in inquiries - Volunteer Warehouse Worker
Helps load, unload and sort food items; keeps warehouse and cooler clean - Food Salvage Sorter
Helps sort food salvage in accordance with established procedures; assists with required quality control inspections of sorted salvage - Site Distribution Captain
Completes paperwork at sites; coordinates volunteer work at sites; helps arrange home delivery for shut-ins, and other tasks - EFAP Packer/Distributor
Helps to set up, unload, distribute, and clean up during EFAP food distribution - Family Market Packer/Distributor
Helps to set up, distribute, and clean up during Family Market product distribution - Agency Clearinghouse Worker
Helps stack pallet for carryout, pulls out to vehicle; handles very large amounts of poundage; assists shoppers with loading; helps in stocking when needed; fills in for weigher and/ or assistant while shopping Pantry; provides assistance to shoppers; keeps the distribution area clean and free of safety hazards
